My name is Nate. I am 19 years of age. I go to Campbell University and study political science with a concentration in pre-law. My main interest is in politics, though I also hold interest in business, philosophy, cigars, music, fine clothing, and many of the other finer things in life. 

I’ve entertained the idea of blogging for a while now, but I suppose I was never - dare I say - conceited enough to make one. But, with the coercion of a few of my closest friends, I have decided to create this blog. 

The name of this blog encapsulates all that I wish to communicate from this platform. “The” is an article, I don’t think I need to qualify the use of that. “Starboard”, as you may well know, is the right side of a ship. Similarly, my political ideology is vastly inclined to the right. I consider myself a conservative first, a Republican second. “Gentleman” encompasses the other part of my blog, where I will promote what I view to be the “finer things” in life, especially those listed above.

Ultimately, I hope that you will enjoy this blog. I recognize that many will not, due to the polarizing nature of politics; however, I hope that many will see this blog and gain something positive from it.
